ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS

REGISTERD SOCIAL WORKER | PLAY THERAPIST

Katie is a Registered Clinical Social Worker and Play Therapist. Katie completed her play therapy training with the Rocky Mountain Play Institute and the Canadian Association of Play Therapy. With over 8 years of experience, she has worked with children, youth, and families in a variety of settings, including schools, hospitals, and home-based environments.

Katie enjoys bringing fun and humour into her sessions, as she believes that while healing and learning can be challenging, it’s important to make the process engaging and something we genuinely look forward to.

Additionally, Katie has Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and she shares this for a few reasons:

  1. Many of the children and teens she works with also have ADHD.

  2. Having lived with ADHD her entire life, she feels confident that her personal experience can be a valuable resource for others.

  3. Most importantly, she is passionate about showing others that ADHD is not a barrier to success. In fact, many highly successful individuals have ADHD. The key lies in understanding how our brains function and using that knowledge to thrive.
